About DnD Lounge
Hail! I’m Matt Zane, a DnD player and DM since 2015. I’m currently playing as a Forest Gnome Nature Cleric (Shebs Shellet) in an Underdark-based campaign, and DMing a Curse of Strahd game.
I made DnD Lounge as a resource to help players learn cool tricks with their spells, DMs to get quick answers about the 5e’s rules, and everyone come up with interesting backstories for characters and NPCs.
I started DnD Lounge in 2021, and the 250+ articles you’ll find on this website are all written by me. I also handwrite (and constantly add to) generators for backstories, personality traits, ideals, bonds, flaws, and names.

The Cabin in the Woods
A horror-themed, 5-in-1 one-shot that’s 5e compatible and designed for a party of 4th-level players.
Five completely different scenarios can unfold depending on the players’ decisions early in the adventure, all leading to tropey trials from horror movie classics.
Comes with 20 VTT-compatible maps and 21 unique monster stat blocks — these files are too big for Patreon’s shop, but email me after purchase, and I’ll send them right over!
Bard Character Sheet
A bard-tailored character sheet that’s perfect for any lute-wielding, magic-slinging 5e character dedicated to the magical power of music.
Comes with a fillable PDF, so you can edit it on your computer before printing it out. Or use it alongside online play and make/save changes to your character in real-time.
Nature Character Sheet
